Camping at Half Moon Bay

We, meaning our whole family, went camping at Half Moon Bay, Sunday, September 19, 2010. My mom and our grandson Nick came and spent one night. Mom wasn't crazy about sleeping in a tent, she was cold and Nick had school the next day. Oh boy what an experience it was sleeping in our tent. We were invaded by Raccoons. They even came in our tent while we were sleeping. Twice ! But besides that, we had lots of fun but not enough time to do everything I wanted to do. Down on Main Street they have tons of shops and we only went through one. I want to go back just to spend the day doing that. I never did do any fishing. Gary and Shiloh went out on a Charter Boat on Monday and caught their limit. We had a fish fry that night. I was really disappointed though, Tonya and I both lost rings. Tonya's was her wedding ring but lucky for her they found it, mine was a black hills gold with 3 small diamond and I wasn't so lucky...Boo Whoo !

My New Armoire

I scored an awesome Armiore today with a radio and a record player. It also has built in speakers and a place for all my records. I know that this stuff is so out dated but I love it !  AND it only costed me 35 bucks !

A Lot Going On !!!

We went camping at Lake Plases's @ Silverlake. My sister works there during the summer months as the Bar Tender. Great place to camp, it's so beautiful ! Almost got our limit on Trout. There was lots of wild flowers everywhere and a lot of pollen. I think that
is why I got so congested ! I was sick for like 2 weeks !
I am looking forward to going there again, but not hiking ! I think I'll stay around camp !
This was at New Hope Church Picnic in August ! It was a lot of fun, Next one is Aug 29th @ 10:00 am
Aug 1st was Kelsey 4th Birthday, Papa and I got her a bike and a beautiful dress. Cheyenne's Birthday was Aug 6th, he turned 14. We bought him some school supplies and money to spend on what ever ! Happy New !  Cheyenne got Baptized on Aug 4th. I was too sick to go and see it but I am so proud of him. He is growing up so fast and making good decisions in his life, and the best one is him choosing to serve God and making him # 1 in his life. God has many plans for Cheyenne !!

Fishing at Pacifica Pier

We had such a blast yesterday, June 28th, 2010, fishing at the Pacifica Pier. We got up at three in the morning so we could get there early. The weather was beautiful, sweatshirt weather. Everyone caught some Crabs, but Gary and Tonya was the only ones to catch keepers that were big enough. They both caught two
each. I caught the only fish, a small King fish and I was lucky to even get it because my line was caught up with some man's line next to me who threw his line over mine. He had a crab on his line at the same time.

Our next Fishing trip is planned for " Half Moon Bay".
There we are going out Deep Sea Fishing, well not
me, I'll stay on shore and watch the grandkids.
I've already done all that and really don't care to do it again...No biggy !
I am excited about camping and relaxing.
So far there will be about 16 of us planned to go.

"Raggdy ol' Flag Bag"

"Raggdy ol' Flag Bag"
This is what we'll be making on June 18th at my house. This is my own pattern.
I hope you like it. I do. I bought 1 yard of Patchwork, 1 yard of plain white, 1
yard of Star print. After I made the bag, I have enough to make a wallet to match.
I also bought a bag of Star Twinkles to hot glue to the front of the bag, they were
only a dollar. All the material is 40% of right now for 4th of July material. They
have lots to pick from. If you are interested in taking my class, call me or send
me a message. Cost for class is $10.00 and you by your material and any supplies.
Hope to see you there !

My First Class !

I had my first class teaching "Sewing 101" yesterday at JoAnn Fabrics and Craft Store in Manteca, Ca. It was awesome. I only had two ladies, which was fine for starting out. I think I'm going to like this job. I have another teaching class today form 1 to 3 pm. I know I have tree young girls that I will be teaching how to make a Rag Bag. This will be fun.  Soon I will post all my classes and schedules, so if your interested in signing up for any. I am going to take some pictures today (I'll ask first) and then post them. Thanks everyone for all your support and encouragement.....means a lot to me !

Our Lawn is Done

Here's the pictures I told you that I would post of our lawn that we finished in one day. I love it, if only the Bees would stay away so we can enjoy it. They are everywhere !   I still have some staining to do on the Tot Tub Room, plus Gary wants we to re-stain the two picnic table redwood so they will match the rest of the stuff in our backyard.  Soon, I just haven't had time, been bottling everyday or cleaning house or doing fava beans or peas. I so need a job, but who has time for one so much to do around here.

Landscaping: Our Yard and Garden

Gary and I spent all day yesterday landscaping our back yard. Now we are going to lay down sod but it was so windy today and Gary was having a really bad day today, out of breath ! Yesterday he felt pretty good. So I guess he's going to pick the sod up tomorrow morning. I hope it's a beautiful day !!  We have decided to keep everything in pots for now because this area eventually is going to be a covered patio, so nothing here will stay. Won't have to dig it up, just move it. The  two picnic tables will go back once we get the sod in, bummer, but Gary wants them there. Slowly it's all coming together. I pray Gary's heart hangs in there and gets stronger !

I will post more pictures after we put in the sod. Still want to get some ground cover with some little flowers. Well our garden is growing, we are done with the Fava Beans, thank God, as far as the plant goes, that's a lot of work. We are done with the Pea too.  I still have to blanch the some Fava Beans, Peas and more Carrots. Our Potatoes (all kinds) are growing in the blue barrels. Garlic and Onions are coming along too.

I love to see our windmill turn, but I don't like the wind ! It could stop anytime ! We live out in the middle for fields on fifteen acres and there's nothing to block to wind, so it gets pretty dusty and dirty.

But I love our home and God has truly Blessed us !

Gary and Patty's Heart

Gary's Heart !!!
Gary went to the Cardiologist today and all is well. His heart is pumping better and the doctor upped his meds and he goes back in 3 months. Back in 07 they said Gary was using 15 to 20% of his heart and now his Echo-Cardiogram shows that he is using 30 to 35 %, which is good. The doctor wants him to get over 40 % otherwise he wants to put in a defibrillator if under 40 %, which Gary does not want to do this. Let us keep Gary in our prayers.

JoAnn Fabric & Crafts is a FLOP !!!
Disappointed today to hear that no one signed up for MY classes at JoAnn's yet, which I don't blame them one bit. There classes are expensive even at half price, plus you have to buy the supplies too. I wouldn't do it myself.  I am serious thinking about doing classes on my own, like once a month. I used to years ago and had a blast. Something to think about.

On Patty's Heart !!!
One thing though, I am super excited about and has been on my heart for many years is opening a new store. I really believe it will happen ! I have been praying about it and I really think I can do it. It will be in French Camp and it will be called "Patty's". I will sell Honey, Produce, Fruits and Nuts, Gift Baskets of all kinds, Specialty Items, Crafty things. Plus thinking about the coffees and Deli Sandwiches.  So give me some input, what do you think ?  I am hoping to get a grant to start it so I don't have to wait or rely on Gary to get Almond money in 2011. I know he would drag his feet and say, I need the money for other things, so I need to seek God on this and get his help if I want to do this. I need a job really bad and nothing seems to be working out so I have to do something. I made my bills and only I make the payments on them. Unemployment is running out really fast !
