Gary and Patty's Heart

Gary's Heart !!!
Gary went to the Cardiologist today and all is well. His heart is pumping better and the doctor upped his meds and he goes back in 3 months. Back in 07 they said Gary was using 15 to 20% of his heart and now his Echo-Cardiogram shows that he is using 30 to 35 %, which is good. The doctor wants him to get over 40 % otherwise he wants to put in a defibrillator if under 40 %, which Gary does not want to do this. Let us keep Gary in our prayers.

JoAnn Fabric & Crafts is a FLOP !!!
Disappointed today to hear that no one signed up for MY classes at JoAnn's yet, which I don't blame them one bit. There classes are expensive even at half price, plus you have to buy the supplies too. I wouldn't do it myself.  I am serious thinking about doing classes on my own, like once a month. I used to years ago and had a blast. Something to think about.

On Patty's Heart !!!
One thing though, I am super excited about and has been on my heart for many years is opening a new store. I really believe it will happen ! I have been praying about it and I really think I can do it. It will be in French Camp and it will be called "Patty's". I will sell Honey, Produce, Fruits and Nuts, Gift Baskets of all kinds, Specialty Items, Crafty things. Plus thinking about the coffees and Deli Sandwiches.  So give me some input, what do you think ?  I am hoping to get a grant to start it so I don't have to wait or rely on Gary to get Almond money in 2011. I know he would drag his feet and say, I need the money for other things, so I need to seek God on this and get his help if I want to do this. I need a job really bad and nothing seems to be working out so I have to do something. I made my bills and only I make the payments on them. Unemployment is running out really fast !

Mother's Day

Had a wonderful Mother's Day. I had my mom and John over for dinner. We had Sweet and Sour Chicken, Peas and Carrots from our garden, yummy, fried Fava Beans, our garden too, and corn on the cob and a salad. For desert we had Strawberries and Shortcake. My son Mark and Becky popped in with a beautiful bouquet of red roses and two cards. I was very suprised and very happy. Made my day. I had flowers sent earlier to my moms house for Mother's Day and for her Birthday tomorrow.  I paid extra to have them there by noon, knowing that she would be at my house later. It was after noon when she finally got them, so I called them and they are crediting my account for that extra charge. I know my daughter would of been here today but they spent the day with Shiloh's mom, Carolyn who is in the hospital, and whom just had brain surgery and two heart attacks and who is in stage 4 cancer and that is terminal they say. The doctors says she has about a month. I am praying that God moves in and takes over with his healing touch and restores her health. I pray God's will be done in Carolyn's life. I am glad they can spend time with her. Please keep her in your prayers. I have a very busy week, tomorrow I have two Eye appointments in Stockton @ Kaiser. Hopefully I will get a good night sleep tonight, I was up at 1:00 last night with a terrific back pain that just would not stop ! Could of been from all that standing I did at JoAnn's  handing out card and Schedules for my sewing classes. I sure hope a lot of people sign up !

TANK TOP CLASS

Ok here it is. This is the "Tank Top" that I've sewn and is now hanging in the "JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts Store in Manteca, Ca.
I think it turned out very nice. Since then I have sewn the Trendy Tote Bag and The Patch Rag Bag. I still need to do the pillow case. I bought a new sewing machine yesterday, brought it home, did some sewing, broke 4 needles and now the needle won't pick up the bobbin thread. Had nothing but problems with it for the first 2 hours, so I decided to take it back ! Very disappointed that it didn't work out. So I have decided just to get my old  one fixed (if not too expensive).

Gosh, I sure hope a lot of people sign up for these classes, otherwise it's not going to work out. It's costing me a lot of money to make all these projects and personally I think we (I) should of got more than 10% discount on this stuff being I am putting it in the store for display. Plus when I claim on my unemployment how much I made, do I get to subtract how much it cost me first ?

Good question ! You can bet I will be asking them, EDD ! I know this is where God wants me, so things will work out.  I will post more pictures of  stuff I make soon.

Bridal Shower

    The  "Bridal Shower" for my future Daughter~in~Law, Becky turned out really nice. They did a great job. We played a few games, ate some good food and the best part, did some craft painting.  Loved it. They, Becky and Mark, got a lot of really nice gifts.  Now the next step, the Wedding:  July 10, 2010 in Las Vegas. Looking forward to it, it will be fun too !

Well tomorrow I will have to get busy sewing. I went to JoAnn Fabrics and picked up all my supplies. Hopefully I'll get a lot of people signing up, because it cost me a small penny to buy all the supplies so I can give these classes. I'm excited !

I'll start first on the Tank tops with the "Floral" sewn to it. I think they will be really nice. That will be the first class on May 21st.  I will post a picture of them as soon as they are made and they will also be hanging at JoAnn's on display for you to see. Be sure to look for them and sign up for the class !

Another Job Interview !

Busy day tomorrow !, I have a dentist appointment @ 1:00 in Jackson. My daughter is going with me, which will be very nice. We'll go and have lunch with my sister and hit some thrift stores and then to the dentist, then head back home and then.....I am very excited,  I have another job interview at 4:30, not saying where just yet, but totally looking forward to it. This will be my second job that will work hand in hand with my  JoAnn Fabrics job. They will work around each others schedule. I knew God would take care of me, he NEVER fails !  I have such an Awesome God ! 

Now if he could just work on some attitudes of some people I know ! (saying no names) but he knows who I'm talking about, life would be so much easier and a little bit less stressful. I'm sure you heard the expression "What crawled up your butt and died ?" or "You must of got up on the wrong side of the bed !"

I spent the day doing paperwork, inputting data into the computer for personal and business and then filed it all....I am so glad that is done.  Now I need to go and find sometime for dinner and relax  for the rest of the evening. I don't even want to here anything about any Honey either, I'm pooped !

Aidan's 5th Birthday

Today we went to my Grandson "Aidan" 5th Birthday Party. The party was at the Lathrop Community Center Park.  It's a beautiful park and there were tons of people there. They have a hugh playground. Aidan got a new bike, helmet and a horn, plus other toys and clothes. It was a fun day.

Even though we went to the park, it was very nice and all but I felt like crap all day, scratchy throat, took 4 naps before we got there. I sure hope I feel better tomorrow. I have like 10 million things planned this week and don't have time to be dragging. Lord please give me strenght to get thru this fast.!

Church and a party to go to tomorrow, Tues: Eye dr appointment, Wed: Dentist in Jackson, Fri: JoAnn Fabric opens, need to get supplies, then going to Jamestown to play Bingo @ Chicken Ranch with my mom ! I'll need lots and lots of energy Lord !

Beautiful Sunday

Gary and I started out our day by going to Costco and getting some groceries. I ran into a girlfriend that I went to high school with. Debbie Huffman (Reigle). I used to ride the school bus with her for years. She was one of the persons that gives you samples in Costco. So great news, she's going to set me up to do it to. You work 2 to 5 hrs a day part time. So I should be hearing from them soon.  So hope to see you there, I know almost everyone goes to Costco some time or other. We bought this really cool Date Palm when we were there. Looks great by our front door, for now. We spent a few hours out working in this beautifl weather, moving flower pots around, taking away some and adding some new ones. Then it was nap time, short one......... Then had to bottle 7 cases of honey, wash some lids and 2 trays, sweep my floors, eat dinner and I started to say now I'm done, but realized I still have a load of clothes in the dryer to be put away, darn ! Well maybe I can do that tomorrow, I'm tired. I hope it don't rain tomorrow till I get back fom making my honey run in Stockton, I hate driving in it.  So I will stop for now, have a good night.

New Job: Sewing Classes

Today went very well, I had an interview this morning with JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts in Manteca. I will be teaching "SEWING CLASSES" coming in May. I will let you know when it gets close to the time to sign up if your interested and of course let you know what the project will be. I am really excited to get started.

The store will be "OPENING April 30th", so come and check it out !! Go online and sign up to be on their mailing list so you can get discounts. I am hoping that I will be able to teach other classes too such as "Floral, General Crafts, Painting and maybe Crocheting".

I believe God has special plans for me, he is opening doors !

Silent Auction

Went to an Auction over in Richmond today and I won some little cups with lids, ya know the kind you put ketchup in, a whole box full. I also got a laptop in a caring case, but it has problems, as I figured it would. They had other stuff there in the back that we could just out right buy, like tables, chairs, file cabinets etc. We bought two really nice chairs with purple color material, kinda like the ones you'd sit in at the doctors office. We also got this really cool magazine rack. It was fun. Gary didn't get any think that he bid on. It was all a silent auction. We'll probaly go again next week. The only thing I hated about the whole thing was the traffic on the freeway, drives me nuts. After the Auction we went to California Glass and picked up jars for bottling Honey and then headed home. After lunch and a short cat nap we both had to go and deal with honey, me bottling and Gary cutting comb and packing it. That took awhile. So I'm done for the evening but Gary's still going, he had to move Bees tonight. He'll be tired I'm sure. Tomorrow I get make Honey deliveries, two in Manteca and two in Modesto. I told Gary, I'm not doing anything on Saturday, I'm pooped and I have house work to do. I have some crafts I really want to work on, a lot of ideas in my head but just haven't had time. Hopefully Saturday I can. Till tomorrow, have a wonderful evening !

Dentist, Casino and Shopping

Today was a fun day but not all went the way I wanted it to. I drove a hour and half to Jackson, I had a dentist appointment at 9:30 and they were suppose to clean my teeth and check out one tooth that was giving my problems. Finally after a hour and half waiting they called me in. Turns out my tooth or gum underneath is infected, so they gave me antibotics and a rinse. The dentist lady wanted to just pull it, I said no. They never did clean my teeth, said they were backed up. So you could say I was kinda pissed after waiting all that time. My mom went with me and we picked up my sister on the way. After the dentist we went to the Casino where we had lunch. Then we went to play some games on the slot machines and my mom won three hundred and something dollars, she always wins. My sister played the afternoon on her twenty bucks and still had most of it when we left. And me, I blew about eighty dollars. Bummer. The machines were just not paying me at all, quite boring. We left there at 2:00 pm and headed out to the thrift stores. I bought a beautiful crocheted table cloth for six bucks and two ceramic nativity sets (all one piece), and another one that plays music and is made of plastic. The figurines move. Really cool.

We had a fun day spending time together. I have another dentist appointment next week, not to sure if I want to go. Tomorrow Gary and I are going to a Auction, wonder what we might get ? That's tomorrows story.....

The Good, The Bad, and The Hopeful !

Have good news and bad news today. First the good news. My niece Michelle is going to have a baby. I am so excited for her and her husband Eric. She is due sometime in December. This baby will be the youngest member in our family. Second good news, my grandson JJ got his first tooth, Yeah ! And now for the bad news, I heard one of our friends, Phylis Carlton went to be with Jesus today. Now she is reunited with her husband Pastor C. I haven't seen her in years but do remember both of them well. Very sweet and loving people. I was really feeling very discouraged today, job hunting and all. I took a test yesterday with a temp agency and apparently didn't do very well. Very disappointing ! I know I have many talents, but I am really tired of doing paperwork. I wished I could find something to do at home, or work with crafts. I so wished I would of gotten that job a JoAnn Fabrics but I guess God has something better for me. He may have closed one door, but he will open another door I know for sure, he hasn't failed me yet. My God is a good God and he loves me and never fails to take care of me. Tomorrow I plan to go to Jackson to my dentist. My mom is going with me and afterwords we plan on going to the Casino for lunch and some game playing and then off to some thrift store shopping. I pick up my sister when we get into Jackson, she'll go with us. Can't wait, it will be alot of fun. Then thursday Gary and I are going to an Auction, but I'll save that for my next story ! Right now I am serious thinking about doing something that can make me some extra money and selling it online, don't know what yet. I need atleast 600 a month and then I won't have to go back to work.

Anyone have any ideas ? Love to hear about them. Well till tomorrow.....Seek God in ALL you do !

Dog Bites

Ok, this is addicting, it's almost 4 in the morning and I can't sleep. My legs are hurting and I'm was just lying there thinking about what I wanted to blog, so why not get up and do it so I could get some sleep. Restless minds really want to know what's going on in my head, yeah right ! I was thinking about my mom. She called me yesterday morning to tell me about her neighbors dog, a Pitbull that had got out and was in her yard. They (her and John) first noticed it in their back yard, ate all the cat food and I guess it got into their trash. So mom when back thru the house and went out the front door the go and tell the neighbors but somehow became face to face with the dog, so as mom turned to walk away, the dog bit her on the hand as she was lifting it up. The dog followed her, nipping at her all the way back to her door. They called 911 and they came out and took the dog away. Apparently the neighbors were gone all weekend camping and the dog has 5 puppies. I just don't understand why people don't keep their dogs tied up, even though they have a fenced yard, the dog was still able to get out. I hate the fact that my mom spends a lot of time outside in her yard and knowing this dog can get to her just bugs me ! I remember years ago when my Uncle Mel died and my mom and dad got his dog. I believe it was a Alaskan Husky, beautiful pure white, but that was the meanest dog I had ever seen. You just look at it and it would grawl at you. That dog, named Alex, bit my mom twice. If it was me, that dog would have already been put down. The dog liked my dad and followed him everywhere. One day my dad was tinkering with something in the back yard, and Alex seen another dog across the street and went after it and was hit by a car. He didn't die. I happened to be at there house that day when it happened and my dad came into the house white as a ghost and all shook up and told us what happened. Dad had really got attached to that dog. So we put the dog in to my car and rushed him to the Vet hospital. He was pretty bad, lost most all of his teeth (won't bite mom anymore). There wasn't much they could do for him. Mom and dad nursed him for quit some time and he got better for awhile, but they ended up putting him down. My mom is 76 years old and I don't think she needs any more dog bites in her lifetime.

Life of the wife of a Beekeeper

Today I decided to start a blog, why ? I don't know, something to do I guess. If anything to keep a journal of my everyday life. How exciting is that. Life as a wife of a Beekeeper. To some they would say, really your husband is a Beekeeper, do you sell honey ? Do you ever get bit ? Yes and No ! Yes, we sell our honey by the case. We sell it to a lot of the fruit stands in Manteca, Stockton, Modesto even far as Fresno. So, check out the local fruit stand if you just want a jar. And do I ever get bit, well NO, but I have gotten Stung many times, and believe me, I don't like it. They hurt. My husband gets stung all the time and just acts like it's nothing, not me, I'm a big baby and don't like it at all ! We bought us a new house in the country and he said he would keep all the bee out behind the shop, yeah right, I should of known better, next thing I knew, he had some next to the house. Oh well, like I said, Life of a wife of a Beekeeper ! Now that that's off my mind and unto other stuff in my life. I had a wonderful time at New Hope Church this morning, met some new women there. They were very nice to me and invited me to sit with them, made me feel so welcome. I think I'll go again. I need to get involved in something. I definitely need prayer, prayer for my back....I have been in so much pain lately. I need a job really bad, but think, gosh, my back hurts so bad that I know I can't stand for any length of time and sitting hurts me too, so what can I do for a job. Something has to give. Tired of living on pain killers. Just writing this, talking about this is helping me to draw closer to God, seek his help and hopeful commit to something that will help me to overcome !

With God, All things are possible! He is my strength, he will carry me, he will bless me and has blessed me. Thank You Jesus !
